CudaText For Windows 7 & 10 64-Bit Download

We have recently shared the latest setup of CudaText here and free download links are available for download. Basically, Cuda Text is a free and easy-to-use code editor for Windows OS, including windows 10. This open-source cross-platform text and code editor comes with an array of features that will help you increase your productivity.

It is developed in the Lazarus environment, which gives you a rich UI arsenal and portability between Windows Linux, and Mac. It has syntax highlighting for 180+ languages, 32-Bit support, and a lite interface with tabs and JSON config files.

The application has an embedded picture file viewer that supports BMP, PNG, JPEG, GIF, ICO (Windows icon), WEBP (general picture format), PSD (Photoshop image), TGA (Targa), and CUR (Windows cursor). When the embedded picture viewer is active, CudaText displays a “Go to” dialog with the list of available zoom values: 33%, 50%, 100%, 150%, 200%, 500%, 1000%, 1500%, etc.

Comes With Multiple Commands

There are also multiple commands in the Command Palette to change the encoding of a file, to change line-end characters, and to show unprinted content for selected lines. There is also a sync scroll plug-in for parallel scrolling through two files with synchronized lines.

Input a right-click on the interface to reveal a few handy options such as cut, copy and paste in different folds, define or change the color of a tab, split a tab into two independently scrolling windows, and more. You can even set tabs into like groups and view files side by side in separate windows.

Hide standard buttons and separators on the toolbar

The plugin has the command “Hide standard buttons” which allows hiding all default CudaText buttons from the toolbar, using space-separated indexes for them. This will be useful when you use a wide-screen monitor since most of the button icons are 0-based numbers.

This can be useful when you have multiple monitors and want to see only the ones you need. For example, if you have an old laptop with a low-resolution display, it will be helpful to not be distracted by the toolbar icons for your favorite software.

You can also activate some of the UI themes in your lexer, such as the one in the “Styles” tab in Lexer properties. This is enabled only when “ui_lexer_themes”: false, as it tries to scale font sizes for both UI controls and editor text size automatically.

Option auto_fold_comments for big XML documents with 10k lines

There are an option “auto_fold_comments” which can be used to automatically create folding ranges from N consecutive lines, which are all syntactic comments. This can be useful when you need to read a big document with many lines of comments, but don’t want to have to manually create all those folding ranges, which can take a long time.

This feature has some limitations, however: for some XML languages, such as XSL, the lexer doesn’t support syntax highlighting when the option is on. This is because the highlighting is based on folding ranges and this option blocks that, thus affecting some parts of the highlighting. If you need more detailed syntax highlighting, you have to turn this option off or adjust the value to a bigger one.
